The Bishop was a blast back in time. The Victorian vibe and furnishing was well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The Bottle Shop/lobby was fun and provided live music and food in the evenings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And be sure to sit in the back garden where it’s so peaceful among the birds, flowering shrubs and large trees.
Very nice hotel to stay at , . Room was super clean and had a fireplace very spacious. Super friendly staff. The cafe made really good espresso drinks and has different dinner specials available that looked really good. There was a recent renovation and it was a very romantic place of looking to go with a significant other for a nice weekend. The town of Port Townsend is really quiet and cool to hang out .
This is the CUTEST room I've stayed in in years. The exposed brick walls, the arched doorways, the wall paper and nod to antique, real wood furniture makes this place stand out.
stayed at the Bishop for one night with family in a 2 bedroom suite. It was cozy, being a "period hotel", the rooms were on the smaller side. Everything was adequate for our stay. Just a note, for those with bad knees, the stairs in the hotel are steeper and smaller than modern standards. Front desk was nice and polite.
The original hotel building was built in the late 1800’s, and the property has been very nicely restored and upgraded with the exception to the staircase to the guest rooms. There is no lift/elevator that I knew of in the building. So unless you don’t mind lugging luggage up a flight or two of stairs, the stay is well worth it. I hope to visit Port Townsend again and if definitely stay at the Bishop Hotel
Not a super huge fan of hotels that share bar space with check-in… thinking it’s cool. It’s not lPeople buying drinks are deciding what to order while people are waiting to check in are left hanging
The room was dirty. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. And the hotel is very loud!! My room was above live music and I couldn’t watch tv or make a phone call because it was so loud. They should warn guests. You can hear every conversation outside the windows, in the hall, and in the rooms next door and above.
