The place to be for quiet, solitude, nature and comfort. Huge self contained lodge, very clean and fully equipped with everything you need. Only stayed two nights but could have stayed a week. Kangaroos were a bonus treat.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We enjoyed our stay but found the property to be very run down and needing alot of TLC. Staff were helpful
Beautiful property, especially if you have a view of the water from your lodge.
Only issue, our lodge did not have air con and while the ceiling fans were good, the lodge did become quite warm throughout the day.
Fantastic location. Peaceful surroundings which included a family of roos and rosellas as the daily visitors.
The 2 bedroom accom. was spacious, comfortable with a great outlook.
This property was great value for money, lovely setting, noce cabin. If your going in winter you may want to nring fan heater as bathroom is cold. We booked a spa cabin and didn’t get 1, dont understand why when we seem to be the only 1's staying there.
Very relaxing weekend in very comfortable unit. Lovely view of lake & the wildlife, which you can hand feed. 2nd time i have stayed here & plenty to drive around & visit in the area.
We found this property to be a little further out than we had thought, but having said that it was private and very relaxing with no noise from other patrons or from passing traffic. The native wildlife was amazing and welcomed us with their presents each day which it had the feel of our own private sanctuary. The rooms are very comfortable and given that our stay was whilst there was massive bushfires surrounding the area we felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The Seabird Lodge was perfect for our stay, very comfortable and not as basic as I thought. The bed is extremely comfortable, the shower is so good, it has made me want to update my bathroom at home, the kitchen is well stocked with most equipment you would likely need, the views of the bush are stunning. Feeding the friendly kangaroos is a highlight, they have 2 man canoes, 1 man kayak and stand up paddle board which is a lot of fun on the beautiful lake, they have bikes which admittedly didn't look the best but am sure would be ok for a short ride (will do that next time), the pool is nice and after a half hour in the amazing mineral spa, I felt like I had a massage. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This will now be a regular holiday spot. Cant recommend highly enough.
We had a great stay.
There bicycles, but not in best condition.
I didn't get to try out the spa or pool.
The room also had a good kitchen in which we cooked a couple of meals.
Oh, and a gas log fire.
Each room was provided seeds to feed the birds and 'Roo's.
it's not the cheapest place, but well worth it.
checked into hotel was told every room has air conditioning but no rooms have it at all just ceiling fans so hate to be here on a hot day. The towels in the bathroom there were two bath towels only one face washer and hand towel. The bed was comfortable I had one nights sleep. The kitchen was tidy but the glass coffee perculator wasnt cleaned it was left dirty with coffee granules in it. Some of the plates and cutlery werent cleaned properly. Ants were found under the kitchen table a very lot in fact and they were starting to crawl throught the room which made me check out the second night due to the amount of bull ants. The management stoped me when driving and gave me a stern warning about driving to fast at 5km when the limit is 10km. My whole purpose was to do business then relax and fish in a country relaxing area. I was told by reception they have bait available but when I asked they SOLD out so dissapointing. I tried doing some paper work but internet is unavailable but if your with telstra you may get reception very limited. The shower flow of water is very low and the shower doesnt get hot at all even if the staff were to look at the shower head its not been cleaned properly theres alot of soap scum build up. The carpets havent been vacumed Overall I wouldnt recommend this retreat at all to anyone as its not what all the reviews are about the cleaness of hotel would be a 5 out of 10.
The only positive was the bed and the kangaroos coming to back door for a hand feed
Excellent for the family. Kangaroos feeding every morning. Wild kangaroos eating from your hand. Kids loved it!
Clean, beautiful, accomodation with beautiful view and fireplace great for those cold winter days!
