"I came to this hotel at a time when I needed a safe and clean place for me and my children to be. This was our place. While we were here, I needed assistance of various kinds. I asked the staff for help. I think the gentleman's name was Carlton if I remember correctly. Very helpful. I needed help keeping my room clean. Housekeeping was there for me. We had a nice breakfast. Ways for my kids to have fun and take their minds off of what was going on at home. Perfect. We stayed 5 nights. However, after the 5 nights were over, I tried extending my stay with a girl at the desk that I had never seen before. She told me that she could not extend my stay. She was not kind to me, unlike absolutely everyone else that I had encountered in the hotel. So, I checked out. The moral of the story is that one bad apple does not ruin the whole bunch. I am not going to give the hotel a bad review because of one person. Thank you, Holiday Inn Express Melbourne for your kindness and hospitality in a time when I really needed help. God Bless."

"Our room had the loudest air-conditioning unit. I asked for it to be looked at but nothing changed afterwards. I also couldn't believe that there was no fan in the bathroom. The bed sheets were never changed (we stayed a week). The halls finally got vacuumed the day before we left. I don't think the floors in the room or bathroom was ever cleaned. We did get towels when we asked. Thank goodness I took my own lysol wipes and spray to keep things tidy. The breakfast was good with lots of choices. Nothing fancy but good for a good start."
