"All the staff excelled during our stay, all were very friendly, pleasant and polite!!!
Although I rate this hotel 5*i think the management keep an eye on condition as I thought areas of the bath were starting to look tired. That said it was really clean, with a good shower and plenty of hot water.
A spacious bedroom with large comfortable bed. The room was well appointed, complimented by good towels and robes.
Continental Breakfast was ample, and the restaurant was extremely clean as were the bar lobby and corridors.
My wife and I never found any fault with the hotel, and although our first stay I’m sure it won’t be our last.
For a hotel on Canterbury High Street it is definitely value for money."
"I thought breakfast was not worth the money. I would have expected real coffee for that money. The staff were a bit vague about the choices on the menu and how it worked.
The air conditioning in one of the rooms we booked was not working and the portable one was hopeless. We didn’t realise this until we went to bed. Not were we aware we could have called someone at a late hour"
Holiday Inn Express Folkestone - Channel Tunnel by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"The room was clean, excellent showers. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We only stayed one night as we were catching a crossing the next morning, but it was during the heatwave so the air con (although not very powerful was very welcome). Overall good hotel. "
"All the staff were so very polite and eager to help. Have to mention Filippa, at the front desk, who was eager to help from the moment we arrived. The room was beautiful, recently renovated - high ceilings, gorgeous decor and well appointed. Breakfast was a real treat, really good food and excellent service. The entire Hotel gave the impression of welcome ease and coziness yet the hotel itself had the services of a large hotel. Very much hope that we have the opportunity to stay there again."
