"Upon getting to the room after checking-in at a separate building, we found no coffee-maker in the room, the refrigerator was unplugged with water in the freezer, the safe was locked, the beach towels were missing, the phone unit didn’t work…dialing the front desk from the cell phone took us to the voice mail. Had to walk to the front desk several times for resolution. The staff member at the front desk during the check-in was nice and friendly though. To check-out early in the morning the next day, nobody was at the front desk without notices left on the counter; although, we were told about its 24-h operation. Only when getting out of the door, already wasted time trying to figure out what to do, I saw a piece of paper on the glass door with hand-written message, which is easily lost and not noticeable with being dark outside. Why not to leave that notice on the counter?! Or type it in bigger thicker letters, use brighter colors if putting something on the glass door. It was the most stressful check-out, especially when not being experienced with the rental car return center at MIA and ETA at that area. Hope the listed concerns can be addressed in a timely manner for the next customers have time to relax & enjoy their stay. Thank you."

"I reserved two queen beds. They said they upgraded us to a better room, but it only had a king size bed with a couch that pulled out to a bed. That was very uncomfortable. They bought a rollaway bed in for my 22 year old son. We would been more satisfied with two queen beds anywhere on property. Still had to walk to pool. Could not lock the room leaving through the patio door. Love the beach area. Very nice and the beach was not crowded. Easy to get chairs. "

"It would be lovely to have bbq grill that the guests can use. Also, a few more shade palms at the pool."

"Front desk staff gave me a hard time when I asked them to speak to our “neighbor” talking loudly and chain smoking outside our door from 10pm-1am keeping us up and we had to be up early. Basically felt like I was being called a liar and the people smoking weren’t smoking in the designated area. Wall was filthy - looked like someone like liquid chocolate was spilled down the wall and not cleaned up. "

"Tiki bar and staff made our stay. The breakfast is the only let down, it's the standard fare for Holiday Inn Express, not with the $19 per person we were charged."

"The service at this hotel was some of the worst I’ve ever encountered. There was no one available to help with luggage, which was a huge issue since the rooms involve very steep stairs and there is no elevator. Additionally, the showers are very outdated and quite dirty. Overall, this was definitely not the experience we were hoping for. Very disappointing, and the staff was extremely unpleasant"

"This place was recently renovated and provided a comfortable space to explore Key Largo. Always something to watch on the canal and usually a musician to listen to across the canal at night. Listen on your very nice balcony. Bed was comfortable and space was roomy. We enjoyed the set up. Would definitely stay again!"
