Hotel Riu Vallarta - All Inclusive

"First off this was a great place but it is not for everyone!!. The staff did not speak English and if you don’t even know a little Spanish it’s going to be hard to navigate. They had music blaring till 1 am on one night but we knew this so we brought earplugs and we were fine. The ocean view was great and the place was amazing if you know what you are getting into so you are prepared. Watch 3 or 4 YouTube videos so you know what to expect. I plan on bringing going our kids back as we celebrated our 25th anniversary there and we want to come again. The food was better than expected and the drinks and bartenders worked hard to keep the lines down. There were not many white people there which is fine for us but some might be intimidated. My biggest advice is do your homework. I know my parents and some siblings would have not like it very much but we have traveled and come prepared. My wife has a hard time walking long distances but everything was close enough she had a great time. Bring Pesos not dollars. They give a horrible exchange rate. A Big Thank You Hotel Riu Vallarta."

"We had a great stay at Dreams Vallarta. The standout experience was the Mexican restaurant—the food was excellent, and the guacamole was the best I've ever had. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and everyone spoke excellent English. The resort and our room were very clean and comfortable. The AC worked wonderfully and kept the room nice and cold, and the view was amazing. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues, including some broken jacuzzi jets and a broken clothesline, but these were small inconveniences and did not impact our stay. The room service food was surprisingly delicious and exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was our favorite meal of the day. The lunch and dinner options at the Asian restaurant, seafood restaurant, and buffet were okay—about what you'd expect from a hotel. While enjoyable, they didn't feel as authentic as some other places we've visited in Mexico. There was a strong push to attend a presentation, but when we declined, the staff remained respectful and courteous regarding the gifts and additional add-ons. Overall, I would highly recommend Dreams Vallarta for anyone looking for an upscale, hotel-style vacation in Mexico, especially travelers who only speak English. The excellent service, cleanliness, comfort, and outstanding Mexican restaurant made for a wonderful stay."
