Lovely location in super grounds. Warm welcome and excellent accommodation

Really enjoyed our weekend away. The Charterhouse is within walking distance of the beach and the town. Perfect on a sunny day! Beautiful, well looked after grounds with outdoor seating and a swimming pool. Marion and Les are lovely and very helpful, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They have a vast knowledge of the area and lots of ideas for days out. Breakfast is great and so much choice, definitely sets you up for a busy day of sightseeing! Their homemade bread, jams and...

Perfect idyllic spot with a beautiful, comfortable and luxurious Lodge. Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat.

Lovely friendly staff, a very warm welcome. Also really useful information given on the local area of places to visit by the hosts. Fantastic heated pool very attractive, clean and a real luxury. Breakfast a very good choice nicely presented and delicious cooked breakfasts. We had a premier room which was lovely overlooked the side of property and a fridge in the room was fab. Beds had firm mattresses alittle hard for my spine, but great for the majority of people.

The room was very comfortable, the staff were excellent. We loved the ambience and the food There was nothing we disliked except the proximity of the village church which insisted on striking every quarter hour day and night. It was an unusually warm night in October so we had the window open so I would advise using earplugs if the window is open.

One of the prettiest views anywhere in England from the balcony overlooking the estuary. Rooms are well decorated, spacious and have free gin. What’s not to like?

Have just enjoyed a 3 night stay with a friend. Beautiful hotel in unique location in quiet South Sands beachy cove. Lots of ways to get to Salcombe town centre either walking (a bit hilly), hotel shuttle car or water ferry. Rooms have stunning decor and bathrooms are very well appointed. Service throughout the hotel is excellent and very friendly. Enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Good value & again great service throughout but with particular mention of lovely service...

We booked a last minute one night stay. I felt slightly nervous after reading some reviews but there was no need to be. From the moment we booked until leaving the staff couldnt be more helpful. From making sure we got booked into the spa to allowing us to use the spa changing rooms for the outside pool ater checking out. We even had drinks delivered to us whilst in the hot tub. We were on the first floor and had a lovely view over the pool and harbour. We couldn't have been more pleased and...

our garden junior suite was just perfect. the restaurant serves a great selection of dishes and breakfast in the morning is served with the best views. staff is very friendly and you really feel like at home.

Stayed for a week start of September, on arrival was greeted by Gary and Julie the owners, who are super friendly, shown to our room. Room was quite small, but very clean, comfortable bed, all we needed. breakfasts is good, whatever combination of a breakfast you want you can have, also cereal and toast are available. Could do with some fruit and maybe brown or whole meal toast options. Ate dinner in the hotel twice, big shout out to the chef Adam, food was great. Deserts were amazing. ...

The second time I have stayed here. Staff very friendly and helpful. The food is great- excellent dinner and breakfast. Room good if a little hot. Excellent car parking which is a real asset. This time wasn't October so the Xmas trees weren't up! Will book again when visiting relative.

Really beautiful family room

Lovely hotel by the sea We stayed at the Langstone Cliff hotel before a concert at Powderham castle. We arrived early afternoon and decided to have lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea. Lunch was lovely and the drinks were cold. Having parasol’s kept us cool on a very hot day. Our room was lovely, quite small but had everything we needed and the air con was an added bonus. The travel to Powderham was easy and relatively quick with only a short walk to the station and then about a 15 minute...

We have just returned from a very relaxing and enjoyable week at the Balmoral, where we enjoyed the excellent cuisine and service.

You just can’t beat the Imperial Torquay. Built on traditions and comfort. It maybe not quite what it was in its heyday but it has adapted to the modern guests and business environment it finds itself in. Keep it up and Best Wishes to you all

The view was amazing out having a drink
