An aesthetically beautiful hotel right near the beach and local eateries. The staff at every level was amazing. The room was very spacious and clean and had a large balcony. We enjoyed the breakfast spread by the pool area each morning. My only complaint is that the shower was very moldy.

Our room had a whole kitchenette and separate master sleeping area. It was just down the street from the beach and a good location. There was road construction going on when we went so we kind of had a hard time getting in to the hotel but that wasn’t the hotels fault.

It looks a little rough from the street with the boarded up restaurant to the front, however, I was very pleased with the hotel itself. Very clean and spacious. And the balcony was perfect for nightly sunset views. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. And I greatly appreciated the purified water available on the ground floor to refill my water bottle daily.

Overall positive experience. We had a problem with our bathroom drainage and staff quickly accommodated us. Breakfast was great and the views from the balcony were fantastic-- especially during sunset. The pool was nice as well.

It is a solid three star hotel. To .ove to four stars is to pay attention to the little details. The fact that there is currently a derilic building near the main entrance doesn't help. The house staff is great. The receptionist area is NOT inviting. Would I go back? There are other hotels to try.

My partner and I came for a staycation, it was our first time here and we loved it. Spacious rooms with great beds and linens, and the AC worked beautifully!! It’s great that every room has a balcony! We look forward to the on-site restaurant potentially reopening, or any other developments with that space. Claire at the front desk was very helpful and thorough. She remembered me by name throughout our trip which was very sweet. Thank you Claire and The Encinitan! We will be back :)

The hotel location is super good. It’s only less than five minutes from the beach and the breakfast is so good. The stuff helpful that only so clean the AC is super good and how much it’s busy but still it’s quiet and even the people there are good I love it. I will do it again And I recommend it for everyone go to San Diego.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Location is great, close to the beach and main part of town. It’s refreshing to come across a hotel that doesn’t charge a ridiculous amount for parking and wifi. The room I had was large with a kitchenette, living room area and separate bedroom area.

Really enjoy being close to Moonlight Beach. Lazy Market natural foods, and lotus cafe... Great place for kids, we don't have any little ones. A usual stop heading to N. CA.
