"This is actually a great spot, but it is 38km from the nearest restaurant or grocery store. We missed that detail and had to improvise dinner. They have a cafe with an honor bar, but only pastries. If they sold a couple staples that would have been excellent. Other than that, it’s great."

The harbour front setting was amazing and our upstairs family room had views from two windows. The guest house was furnished with a lot of style. The kitchen facilities were very good, just a little dark down in the semi basement.

Although this place really is a long way on an unpaved road from the nearest village, it really adds to the peace and quiet - there is NO noise here outside except for nature - a rare thing these days !
The staff could not do enough for us and our daughters - nothing was too much trouble !
The food was stunning - some of the best we have had anywhere, let alone in Iceland
Breakfast was more than adequate.
