"Unique property with amazing views and hot pools. Food was spectacular. Far from city feel with a modern yet country feel. Highly recommend taking at least a night and exploring the area. Glacier tour , water falls… fabulous…. Staff warm and accommodating. "

"The staff was very welcoming and jumped right on a problem we had when the shower flooded. They even gave us a wake up call to catch a glimpse of the northern lights. The food was beyond our expectations. We don’t normally stay at hotels associated to golf courses so honestly didn’t expect much but this place is well worth the stop over for the view, food and nice, really nice people. We look forward to going back and trying out one of the cabins."

It is however an incredibly old house, which means you can hear everything - made us very aware of any noise we made - talking, walking, etc. Very glad we stayed here as was a very unique property, just something to keep in mind as felt very aware of any sounds we made. "My spouse and I booked the Fosshotel Hellnar as a stop on our Iceland road trip. It ended up being the perfect location to stop after 1 day travel from Reykjavik and partway around the Snaefellsnes peninsula. We were cold and tired by that point and the Fosshotel was so comfortable on our arrival. The fireplace in the lobby was very inviting. The room was spacious, comfortable and the heated bathroom floor tiles were such an appreciated luxury to us that day. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel...

"I like all the antique setting. It made me feel back to grandma's house. It made me feel home. We have difficulty to turn on stove and the manager showed up quickly to show us about the stove. There are washroom on every floor and several showers in the basement. "
