"Great central location in walking distance of lots of sights. Hôtel staff were welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. It was especially useful to be able to park in the hotel car park for 24 hours after check in at 2 so we could check out by 11 the following day, leave the car safely parked and visit the cathedral before carrying on to Cornwall. Will be sure to break the journey there again."

"the garden was lovely. real bonus as the weather was excellent. we didn't use the pools or spa but might another time! the staff were very friendly and most helpful. the building was interesting and characterful might well return there. "

"The room was clean, we traveled down mind afternoon and was pushing it for the 10pm check in deadline we contacted the hotel and they said if we missed it we could still stay and get the card from the lock box this was a relief as we travelled from the north east. Both men we spoke to on the phone where lovely, Alfie especially as he put us at ease and got is checked in promptly "

"We had a lovely time here and would recommend. We had a one bed apartment for our family of 4 (3 and 5 year old) which was absolutely fine. The kitchen was well equipped and had a supermarket delivery which was super easy. Our only problem with the apartment is the shower was basically just a trickle! The grounds are lovely, the kids loved the peacocks and ducks! The play park was also really well looked after. They also loved flying down the hills on their scooters. The facilities are also lovely, especially the pool which is heated. There's also evening entertainment in the games room/bar. We all loved the magic show."
