The Village Lodge

The Village Lodge

8/10 Good
"The lodge is in a prime location and features a great pool and a nice gym. We always enjoy staying here, but our recent room was a major letdown. The bedroom had a weird musty smell, the bed was highly uncomfortable; the balcony was not cleaned and covered in bird droppings, and the couch was filthy with food and dirt stains on the pillows. The fireplace was also out of service, and we were not notified beforehand. Since the fireplace was one of the main reasons, we booked the room and it was a little chilly at night, it was a little disappointing."

Outbound Mammoth

10/10 Excellent
"Loved the layout of the property. Loved the food and drink options. The staff at Bar Sierra were amazing. Some of the fire pits were broken, which was a real bummer, and no one was to be found at the wine bar when we went by to try it. But overall we absolutely loved our stay and will be back again and again."

The Ranch at Death Valley – Inside the Park

The Ranch at Death Valley – Inside the Park

10/10 Excellent
"We loved this property, and made good use of the swimming pool on what was a very hot day. The main drawback was the food options available as these were very limited for vegetarians. The one option on the menu wasn’t available on the night we tried to eat there. We actually went to eat at the Inn at Death Valley, which is a sister hotel of the Ranch, and had a lovely meal there. All in all, I would recommend the ranch at Death Valley; we enjoyed our one night stop over."

The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth

The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth

8/10 Good
"When we checked in, the room unfortunately wasn’t fully cleaned. There were expired items in the fridge, and our dog found nuts on the floor. Since the hotel was fully booked, we couldn’t move rooms. Staff did send someone to tidy up while we were at dinner, which we appreciated, but the expired items were still there when we returned. The location was perfect, though, and the staff was responsive. The room just needed a more thorough check before our arrival."

"A little dated, but good value. Would have been nice to have ac in the room for a summer stay."
