Amazing, great little find. Bedroom was spotlessly clean, plenty of hot water and powerful shower and the bed was SO comfortable. The quality of the decoration in the room and the pub overall was impressive. Only minor issue was the duvet was too warm but then it was a very warm day. So many little touches made it extra special, Border biscuits, plenty of tea and coffee in the room and good quality complimentary toiletries.

Hotel was lovely, room was spacious and very clean. Owners were very nice and very helpful. Breakfast was fabulous. The owners could not do enough to help you enjoy your stay. Gave lots of information on the local area and would book restaurants etc if you asked. Highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent service with the food absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend. On a small note my wife who is partially sighted could not clearly see some of the steps when going down the stairs due to the pattern of the carpet. This however was the only issue with the rest of hotel/ pub be excellently set out and presented. Breakfast was also exquisite. Overall a 5 star stay just make the stairs down more visible for anyone who is visually impaired.

Very nice staff good location

The Townhouse is perfectly located in Melrose's charming centre. It is well-appointed and does a great job catering for guests needs and wishes. It has a buzz of activity that works really well, and the staff are unfailingly friendly, helpful and on hand. We'll certainly be back in Melrose and Townhouse will be our intended place to stay. Thanks folks.

Such a lovely quiet area , the garden area on good day is great to sit out in , breakfast is really good too

The hotel is centrally located with beautiful grounds overlooking the river. Everything about our stay here was lovely. The room was dated however spotlessly clean with a huge comfortable bed. Breakfast was served in the lovely dining room overlooking the gardens and river. Everything you could wish for was on the menu, There's loads of character in this hotel. All staff very friendly and helpful too. We will definately be back!

Room was lovely and dog friendly,.added bonus BATH had lamb chops for dinner fantastic and gravy was the best ,staff were very nice

Booked the hotel to as a handy base to go into the Cheviots, friendly reception and a good room. Didn't have a beer but the bar looked good and a big restraunt area - I would go back again

Very friendly welcome, nice clean room. Ammazzinggg breakfast so good and not greasy. Evening meals very tasty. Have stayed a few times and it never fails to disappoint. .

In the heart of northuberland dark skies area stars every where accomodation fantastic Helen and the staff superb. Very nice breakfasts would book again Ann and George

Friendly welcome by Sheila. Room was clean, large and very comfortable. We were advised about places to go and visit locally and also eat out. Would stay here again.

From the moment we were greeted by Susan with a lovely tray of tea and shortbread we knew this place was special. Robin and Susan are such a lovely friendly couple and great fun to chat with. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfasts amazing. We hope to return to the Kelso area and when we do we will stay here. A brilliant experience.

The food was excellent; we only stayed for a weekend so we didn't manage to sample the entire menu. The staff were professional and friendly.

The inn was easy to find and the staff most helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable and relaxed.

What a perfect place to stay. We stayed in one of the two bedroom cottages which was perfect. I could not say a negative thing about the cottage. We only stayed for 2 nights while visiting near bye family. But we will be back for a proper break
