"The space in the room is nice and big, the bath tub shower isn't very good as you will soak the bathroom floor. The other issue is you have to pay a lot to stay at the hotel and you have no alternative but to pay the fee daily."

"For a London hotel, I'm probably most impressed by its value offering. The price I paid was much lower than other hotels in a similar area, which included a complimentary continental breakfast with ample choice; the freshly baked croissants were particularly delicious. The room was large with a comfy double bed and a decent TV on the desk. The room included plenty of storage space. The electrical sockets are outdated, without any located near the bed area. The bathroom was decent and the shower pretty powerful, though again dated when compared to more modern hotels. The whole hotel, including lifts, corridors and lounge/dining areas, was clean and smelled fresh. Although the air conditioning in the ground-floor lobby seemed to be working fine, I can't say the same for our room. You couldn't change the temperature, only fan speed, which, although it was on max, wasn't particularly powerful. Although you could feel a cool breeze, it wasn't strong enough to cool the room, and due to the hot weather, I suffered from a poor night's sleep. The room did include an additional standing fan; however, it was old and wasn't powerful enough to have any effect."

"A thoroughly modern and spotless hotel with a stunning restaurant view. Staffs were nice and helpful. The air conditioning was an absolute lifesaver during the summer heatwave! My only constructive feedback is that the gym facilities are quite basic and could benefit from more equipment. Additionally, the shower pressure in the bathroom was rather weak. Overall, a great stay with just a couple of areas for improvement."

"Room was looking tired and wasn’t the cleanest. Lots of small detailed cleaning is required, extra attention to the woodwork & fittings. Thai restaurant wasn’t very good, over cooked chicken starter, old dressing. Main of Pad Thai was very over cooked, meaning the noodles difficult to eat. Bar staff & reception staff were very good and helpful."

"We were pleasantly surprised at just how good this budget hotel was. Decent sized room with everything we needed, except air conditioning although a fan was provided. Had to keep window closed as it was quite noisy outside. Reception staff on arrival (very late) was very warm and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again."

Old Palace Lodge Hotel

"Very professional staff, helpful, and eager to help. The place was on a main road but I couldn't hear any traffic noise. The rooms where clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden area. Only drawback was no air con in the rooms but we did have a fan which was adequate. I would recommend thos place to needing to stay in or around this area. If I need to be in the area again I would definitely use this hotel again. Thank you for the great time."
