"Beautiful hotel. Had a wonderful stay and staff was amazing and took great care of us. Went above and beyond in helping us find services like tailors for quick alterations to suggesting place to buy things that were a little outside the Heritgae Walk marketplace as they knew we would get fleeced. Great help and advice in going above and beyound. Will recommend staying here to anyone. Location is great if you want to be in walking distance of the Golden temple and Jillian wala bagh, tge partition museum amongst other attractions. In close proximity to food and local vendors selling chai (tea) and maggi in the morning were the best part of staying in this hotel. The chai was exactly what we needed ij the cold mornings and the maggi hit differently in the morning in Amritsar. For a more western palette there is plenty available by way of McDonalds, Dominos and Subway within walking distance."

"We stay at Taj Swarna, Amritsar once or twice every year, and it truly feels like coming home each time. The warmth and care shown by the team are exceptional. Chef Ajay makes special food for us every year, remembering exactly how we like it and giving such personal attention—it means more than words can say. He remembers all our family. It was very nice to meet chef Rachpal. Mukesh is always kind, attentive, and welcoming, making every stay even more special. This level of genuine care is why we keep coming back. "LOCATION: The location of this hotel was amazing. It is situated directly across from Sri Harmandir Sahib (the Golden Temple) and closest entrance is right across. You can even enjoy a beautiful view of the Golden Temple while having breakfast at the upstairs hotel restaurant. Because of the prime location, it was incredibly convenient to attend the early morning ceremony at around 3:30 a.m. and return later for the night ceremony at approximately 10:00–10:30 p.m. Attending both was a truly different and serene experience. The hotel is within walking distance of many souvenir shops, as well as a McDonald’s—one of only three vegetarian McDonald’s in the world. It was very convenient to take walks through the lovely streets filled with various shops and dining options. Amritsar Airport and Amritsar Train Junction are both relatively close, making Uber rides to and from the hotel easy and accessible. STAFF: All front desk staff were extremely pleasant, polite, accommodating, and respectful throughout our stay. HOTEL BREAKFAST: The breakfast options were very minimal, but the food was decent and the menu changed daily. ROOM AND CLEANLINESS: The room was decent but not very spacious. The window area was only a box cutout with no actual window, so there was no way to look outside or open it. However, since most of our time was spent exploring outside the hotel, this was not a major issue. The bathroom could benefit from renovation, as noticeable wear and tear was evident."

"The room was not clean when we entered. Towels and bedsheets also werent looking clean. Room toiletries and towels were not replaced for all 3 days. We had to ask for water bottles and tea/coffee packets everyday after calling reception. These housekeeping items should be done everyday without asking. Hotel location and contact number mentioned on expedia are also not correct. Only benefit hotel has is its proximity to golden temple"
