The room and surrounding area was beautiful and only a 5 minute walk from the beach with lots of shops and restaurants to check out. "This was our second time staying at Hotel Croatia in Cavtat, and we loved it so much the first time that this year we came back with even more of our family! Coming all the way from Vancouver, Hotel Croatia truly feels like a home away from home for us. The location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by the Adriatic Sea with incredible views, beautiful swimming areas and easy access to the water. The property is clean, elegant and very well maintained. What makes our stays even more special is the wonderful staff. Everyone is welcoming, friendly and professional, and they genuinely make you feel at home. Cavtat itself is beautiful and peaceful, and the hotel is perfectly located for enjoying the town while also relaxing by the sea. Returning for a second time with more of our family made this visit even more memorable. We rarely return to the same hotel when travelling, but Hotel Croatia is one of those special places we are always happy to come back to. Two wonderful stays and hopefully many more to come! Highly recommended. ❤️"

"Wonderful hotel, spacious and clean rooms, with all the amenities and facilities on site. Business conferencing area, kids club, games area, multiple saunas, spa and beauty treatments, gym, shop, multiple swimming pools with plenty of sunloungers, a dedicated area on the beach front. We got a free upgrade to a room with a full beach view and a gift for our anniversary. Excellent breakfast selection. Very professional and polite staff, could not fault anything."

"Great hotel! The only thing I dislike was the bar on the 6th floor. Good service but the mixed drinks and cocktails were terrible. Moreover, I order a martini dry and it did taste like water and ice. Another instance, I order scotch double and no ice so I could have something stronger but what I got was probably a millimeter of scotch, maybe two or three small sips and it was over. Finally, I stopped ordering cocktails and only drank wine. It is a shame because they have a beautiful area just outside the bar to watch the sunset. ,"

"The hotel exceeded our expectations in that it was in a wonderful location just a short distance from the old town. The housekeeper was one of best we have ever had! She was so efficient and friendly each time we saw her. Our room was cleaned punctually each morning to an excellent standard. We were room 108. We ate one evening at the Taj Mahal restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff very pleasant. The pool area of the hotel is very small but was adequate for our trip. Our only complaint relates to the female bar staff at the Piano Bar. In my opinion they did not represent the friendliness and welcoming appeal of the hotel. Each evening after our meal we went to the bar for a cocktail. On each occasion the female staff were rude and basically not bothered! On our last evening I went up to the bar to order our drinks. The female staff were standing chatting and laughing. They totally ignored me so I stood there until a male staff member arrived from the outside area. As in previous evenings he was both pleasant and efficient in taking my order and making us feel welcome rather than an inconvenience, which was how his female colleagues had definitely acted. I feel this needs to be addressed as I was not alone in being treated this way. On our last morning we were allowed a late check out for a small fee. This was wonderful and greatly appreciated. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and return there again if visiting Dubrovnik."
