"As a little motel close to a festival venue, the Black Bear Lodge was just what I was looking for. I was prepared for it to be small and basic and for the decor to be somewhat dated. What I found was a motel that was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The innkeeper was delightful. I would stay there again. "

"We stayed for one night while visiting the area. The facility was clean and well kept. Plenty of parking. Close to some shopping. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate and larger than expected. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast had a nice variety even though we got there a bit late. The billiards table in the common area is a nice touch. We didn't have a chance to play but if we had stayed longer we would have taken advantage. All in all a very pleasant stay. This will be our go-to spot for future visits from now on. "

The check in and checkout details were easy to follow and allowed us to be on our own time schedule. Dinner was delicious and Dan couldn't have been more gracious. Get the carrot cake!! The breakfast nook was just enough for a quick bite and cup of coffee before our drive."
