"It is always scary to choose a beach experience for the first time. Therefore, we really felt like we struck gold with The Ellie Resort. Beach view, cleanliness of room, food & drink options, helpfulness of staff, that magnificent pier — all exceeded our expectations. Only two suggestions: Free coffee in the lobby is a must for a hotel of this quality; and (traveling with a friend in a wheel chair), larger parking spaces that are better protected from the elements would be appreciated. With that said, however, we cannot wait to come back to Myrtle Beach, and, when we do, The Ellie will be our lodging choice! Jim Mitchell"

"What a pleasant surprise. This was one of the most beautiful resorts we have ever stayed in. The resort is huge with lush green moss covered mature trees, miles of biking trail, clean heated pools, jacuzzi, private beach, fit pits, multiple restaurants. You couldn’t ask for more at such an affordable price. Staff is very friendly. We can’t wait to go back."

"Room was very nice and clean. Beds and pillows were comfy. Location was good. It is a few blocks from the beach, walk through a big park and parking lot to get there. Its a really nice beach area. You can rent umbrellas and chairs there. Nice access for handicapped visitors. There wasnt a beach shuttle while we were there. Parking fee is $10 a night. Only 6 covered spots. Pool area is nice. Good shops and restaurants nearby that are walkable. You have to drive to the lighthouse 5 miles away, but its worth it. Breakfast is ok, if you get there early enough. Would probably stay again if in the area. "
