"My preferred place to stay in San Jose (have probably stayed here at least 20 times, and I have stayed at many places in town so I have a fair idea of what's "normal" here even for the high-end hotels). Large and clean rooms, great location and staff. Only downside is there is no restaurant/bar in the hotel, rather in the separate casino which is a bit sleazy for my tastes. But there are decent restaurants within a short walk."

Massive room which was perfectly clean. Great location, handy to the airport. In the grounds of the hotel there are a number of shops and an excellent outdoor area which had comfortable seating, nice music and lots of really good quality food trucks offering everything from Thai to Indian to Cuban and more. Highly recommended for a relaxing evening with good food. Breakfast at AC is great but make sure you book with your room as it’s very expensive to pay at breakfast. Around £30 per person...

It was a beautiful hotel - it is like a large property surrounded by gardens and villas. The setting on the foothills of the mountains overlooking the Central Valley and surrounded by coffee farms was amazing. It is cool and fresh in the morning and we sat on the veranda enjoying the view with a cup of local coffee.
