"There aren't many hotel options in the Cinque Terre area, so this was one of the few that actually was a hotel and offered breakfast. it's close to the beach in Monterosso and we were able to walk there from the train station (up a pretty steep hill). The building is quite old and hasn't had too many updates so it was very simple. Breakfast was more of a "continental" style but it was sufficient. The staff were very friendly. "

The buffet breakfast was delightful with fresh meats, cheeses and hot options. The manager of the hotel chatted each visitor every morning. She was a wealth of information. These villages were affected by extreme damage from heavy rains in 2011 causing mudslides to devastate the villages. To see the restoration makes you realize how resilient people...

"Magical family room. Bedroom 4 carved into the cliff. Super Beautiful village. Just be aware that this location is in Manarola Village not Riomaggiore Village same commune (different village) still part of the beautiful Cinque Terre. Swimming in the harbour excellent with stunning views. Better for children 10 upwards. Receptionist Loris very helpful sorting out transport for my husband too with knee issue. You need to be fit & able bodied to stay in this village. Amazing seafood restaurants too...
