"We have stayed at the Petwood Hotel before, in order to join a friends party. We loved it so much that I treated us to a room overlooking the garden. It was well worth the extra money, as there was a raised area with a lovely table overlooking the gardens as well as the huge size of the room itself. The history and atmospheric quality of the hotel is superb and the local area is fabulous, especially for walks or cycling. Treat yourself to Sunday lunch if you can as a fabulous pianist called...

"Very welcoming staff, good facilities and excellent location. Room decor and fixtures a little 'tired' and could do with a bit of extra tlc but great value for the price paid, snd would use again. Didn't have breakfast, but the smell from the dining area was lovely! "

"Staff were good, we were in the chapel , I though we would be in a beamed, raked ceiling room, but it was a very small room on the lower level of the chapel. So make sure you know what room you have before."
