"First time staying at this hotel. We booked for an anniversary weekend for 3 nights. Staff are so friendly and courteous, from reception to the bar and the spa area. The foyer as you walk in is so beautiful, with the hanging lights and grandeur. It’s kept very clean and tidy every day. There’s a bar area up the steps from foyer where you’ll find comfy sofas and big chairs to lounge in, this was such a nice area to sit and have pre-drinks before heading to the restaurant for evening meal. During the day you can sit with a good book and enjoy the comings and goings of the hotel. There is soft music playing all the time which just adds to the ambience. We had such a lovely relaxing break. Spa We booked the couples day at the spa which included massage, Thermal spa experience and afternoon tea - this was sublime. Definitely recommend doing this if you can. Afternoon tea, especially, was a lovely treat and so tasty. Special thanks to Beth, on spa reception who went above and beyond for us during our time at the spa. There were a few hiccups but all dealt with promptly and professionally. The rooms We booked a superior room, was really lovely with the addition of small table and armchair to the side of the bed. Overall, we had such a lovely few days and big thanks to all the members of staff who served with a smile and made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing stay with spa and treatments. Thank you "

"Great stay, got a free upgrade from the orchid room to 1760 which was a lovely two bedroom suite, great decor and superb little touches. The place to stay in Preston. "

"2nd stay this year really enjoyed it again this time we were in the main premises on the top floor but preferred the appointments out with hotel itself as having 3 kids on top floor just walking makes hell off noise 😀 and not good for people below the bar itself closed Tuesday and Wednesday for some reason that was the only downfall still had fantastic stay "

"Lovely room with country aspect. Very comfortable bed. Warm, clean and quiet. Well equipped gym. Superb meal at Bertram's restaurant Excellent gym and pool included in stay. Spa looked wonderful but did not have time to try this"

"Everything was lovely but it states there is a jacuzzi and swimming pool which you have to pre book and the sauna etc..is over the other park so be warned you need to book ahead and take a towel ."
