"We have been staying at Grand Colony for years. The reason we keep returning is the convenience of walking down the beach to the dive shop, having a full size kitchen and individual bedrooms for everyone. There are no amenities to speak of. No restaurant, no bar, no spa, the beach chairs have seen better days but so has the beach. The sea grass is nothing Grand Colony can help but it does make the ocean unswimable. "The casino next door had the bass blaring until 1am. The the patrons gather in the courtyard after closing for the next hour. When the casino was closed ,the staff of the hotel partied until done. "My friend and I booked a stay at “Muna” guest house for this stay. The house was very beautiful and had all amenities you would need! However, when booking, it did not seem to specify in an obvious way that this house would be off of the resort (about a 3-5 minute walk) so this surprised us. Even though it is off the resort you still can use all resort amenities though. Other than that, the guest house was clean, quiet, and beautiful with tons of birds and wildlife around. "

"Paid over $600 US for three people, decided to leave San Pedro earlier than planned due to harassment by hawkers, emailed Amelias explaining would not be checking in, told no problem, go to hotel in person before arrival date for full refund. Went two days before, was told by owners wife there was no record of my booking, no record of my payment or my name, the rooms were already re-rented, and to discuss it with her husband, who was out of country and unavailable."

"I arrived early in the day, and Colin was very responsive and understanding of my situation allowing me to have a room immediately. The room was comfortable and clean. Later in the day, Colin came by to check if I needed anything. Since the nearby restaurants were closed, he personally made the drive to pick up food and deliver it to us. The next day, he even gave us a ride to the airport. His personalized attention meant a lot to me. Thank you to Colin and to the Bomboleo Inn! "
