"We loved staying at Midas Belize. It’s very safe- they have a delicious breakfast and there is a grocery store right across the street. It’s very close to tour options and other shopping, yet it is quiet, safe and comfortable in the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and the room was clean."
"Rolson Hotel was a perfect place to stay while exploring Belize for a week vacation. The restaurant and bar were delicious, the staff was amazing and I would love to come back and spend more time here. If you are traveling to San Ignacio, make Rolson your place to stay "
"Best deal for the money in San Ignacio, also have car rental available at the guest house.
Very clean comfortable rooms, the owner and his family live next to the guest house and are very kind and generous people. "
"Beautiful property with wonderful staff! We took advantage of the resort's transfer and tour services, which was a great decision. We were very well taken care of and I will be staying here again in the future 🙂"
"There was an issue with the booking. The landlady brought me supper, while she fixed the problem. She invested the extra effort to ensure my stay was a comfortable as possible. This location is central, and they have a laundry service. I recommend!!"
"We loved staying at this property. Comfortable beds, and the villa was immaculate. Our kids loved having the outdoor shower(s) and private pool. If other people were staying on the property, we didn't see them.
We did not rent a 4wheel drive vehicle, which is highly recommended. The road leading to the villa was VERY steep. We were fine, but if it had rained during our stay we might have a different opinion on that choice!"

On Saturday, we very much enjoyed the San Ignacio farmer's market. It seems like everyone in the area is there. San Ignacio is a great launchpad for exploring the area's Mayan historical sites.

We really liked San Ignacio and Cayo District in general. I would recommend renting a car even though it' quite expensive in Belize. Mountain Pine Reserve is awesome for adventures in nature.

We did the ATM and Xunantunich tour with Maya Walk - loved both. The market was fun and low-pressure to walk through.

The ATM tour is amazing. It is actually physically difficult. Well worth it! But if you are scared of heights, or do not like maneuvering through small spaces it will be hard for you.

Great accessible Mayan ruins nearby. Some sites (waterfalls, eg) are difficult to access due to unpaved roads and should not be attempted without 4-wheel drive. -if then

Enjoyed the area, the ruins, history, and the local people are friendly. Local food was great.
"Monkey Falls was set in a lovely location right in the jungle. It was quiet and relaxing. We were shown around Rod’s farm which was very interesting. The kitchen makes lovely home made food, including breakfast, which we ate every day. Tours can easily be booked from there and they will pick you up. It’s a short taxi ride from town. All in all a nice place to stay if you want to relax and you like jungle and wildlife."
"Very convenient and clean hotel at a great price! It’s right in the middle of town where everything is! I also love that you get free access to the pool at the Midas hotel as well! Would 100% recommend."
"We LOVED our stay at the property! Everyone took care of our every need. Food at the restaurant was outstanding!
The treehouse was perfect for our jungle adventure trip! Bruno the resident howler monkey was a huge highlight!

"The best and most convenient place to stay in San Ignacio! We have stayed here many times and have enjoyed each stay! Everything you need, food, shopping, and taxis, are in walking distance and the staff is amazing! They always make us feel very comfortable and at home! "
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. What a unique experience! The food offered at the restaurant on site was not that good and very pricey. However the host did help us order from a local restaurant using delivery that was very good. "
