"The hotel is well situated, affordable, and the staff is absolutely amazing. Overall the stay was pleasant and I will likely be returning. The place does need some tender love and care but you can tell it would have been a true gem back in it's day. The beds are worn and need updating, the rooms are clean but could use some touching up, and some of the appliances and hardware are pretty outdated. The breakfast is mediocre, omelets are decent, however the rest is just very simple and lacks things...

"This hotel is great for being in Belize City. Clean comfortable rooms, great foodl, good cafe/coffee bar. Belize City is not a place to hang out and enjoy, but the hotel is great for a stop over or need a place to stay for a night or two. Nothing to do in Belize City and very unsafe on the South side of the city where this hotel dropped us off for shopping. "

"Paid over $600 US for three people, decided to leave San Pedro earlier than planned due to harassment by hawkers, emailed Amelias explaining would not be checking in, told no problem, go to hotel in person before arrival date for full refund. Went two days before, was told by owners wife there was no record of my booking, no record of my payment or my name, the rooms were already re-rented, and to discuss it with her husband, who was out of country and unavailable."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. A larger swimming pool would have been nice. The property is well maintained with room for improvements like an updated in room refrigerator. Some pieces of the furniture showed signs of wear. Room was spacious and I would stay there again."

"Beautiful property, lovely experience but also not what we expected. I would consider this more of a working ranch than a resort, as we felt like it's more setup for locals to Belmopan and cowboys than it is to the average traveler. Nice food, good overall value. Kind of a strange cowboy guy who apparently owns the property who was a little overly friendly to my girlfriend out of the blue. However seems that locals love him and have good things to say. If you're up for something a bit different...

"Beck's Bed & Breakfast is a sweet jewel of a place in a remote region of the Crooked Tree Wildlife Refuge (a birder's paradise). Robert and Becky are warm, incredibly knowledgable hosts and provide a respite from the hustle and bustle of vacation stress and more tourist dense areas. If you love birds and plants and two sweet dogs you will love staying here. They had Christmas decorations galore so we didn't miss out on the Christmas spirit. We wish we could have stayed longer. "The staff are very friendly though the service is variable and often slow. The furniture in the rooms needs updating. Inconsistent pricing with the wines. Different price in the bar to the restaurant. 30 dollor difference. They had ran out of a Cantena Alta Malbec and offered as a standard Catena Malbec at the same price, despite representations from us that this was clearly wrong. We feel the tours are over priced.
