"The British Colonial is nothing less than great! The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. Food is amazing, especially their sushi. The beach is a stone throw away from the pool which is perfect to go back and forth throughout the day. The staff is very accommodating, friendly and welcoming. This is my second time staying here and I will be back! "

"The fact that our initial room was completely different than pictured was just a start. We have used HomeAway many, many times with “exceeded expectation” results but this one was a let down. "The 3 pools onsite at the Pelican are small but nice. The restaurant at the pool was convenient and delicious. The staff is very nice and helpful. You have to take the free ferry (or shuttle) to Taino Beach and this is where you find the fun slide, and swim up cave bar that you see in some of the pictures. We really enjoyed this pool. Would def recommend, especially for a family of five bc the room was big enough and they brought a cot for small fee. "

"This is a charming place to stay with an amazing sea view and lovely staff. The food is also delicious, so dinner is highly recommended. Close to the airport (but not noisy) which is handy too."
