We stayed for two nights in Jan. Check in was smooth as we were taken to our room right away. Our room was like a suite though I booked regular room. Separate vanity are, walk in closet, two sinks, separate shower and toilet area, all lavishily done. Staff was very attentive, buffet was made to order and they accomodated all of our food requests with a smile. On the downside. very next morning, when we stepped out of our room , first there was carpet, then marble and then out of blue there were three giant steps made out of same marble without any distinction or warning sign. Both my husband and myself we fell from the steps. Luckily my hubby could bent his knees and was able to sit on the second step while falling but i fell from all the three steps and hit my head on a glass door which was next to steps. I got badly hurt on my forehead, knees, hands. We asked for ice and it took them 20 mns to bring the ice. No one came from the manangement to inquire. it took me half an hour to recover from the shock and we mananged to move from the lobby. Until today no one contacted me on that incident or try to offer any compensation. Next morning, when we were headed for buffet, I was asked by a staff member as to how I was doing and I was told in all honesty" Do not feel bad madam, everyone falls fro those steps, even I have" What a shame for Oberoi group of hotels!
