Vacation Village At Williamsburg

"I was traveling with a couple of teenagers and started looking for a place with connecting rooms so they could have their own space. Lots of places don't have connecting rooms and some that did couldn't guarantee we'd get them, or they required an adult in each room. Then I found Vacation Village. It exceeded expectations, as they say. We had a lovely, fully furnished, two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a well-equipped full kitchen. The bathrooms were large with lots of storage space, and there was plenty of closet and drawer space for longer stays. It had a deck/balcony that backed onto a small wooded area. It rained a lot while we were there so we didn't spend as much time as we had hoped walking around Colonial Williamsburg, but the kids spent time at the indoor pool and found their apartment space roomy and private enough to hang out in without complaint. It's minutes from a main strip in town with eating places of every variety, and is a very short drive to the main Colonial Williamsburg visitor center and parking lot. The price was less than I'd have spent on two separate rooms in a motel if I had gotten those. The staff was friendly and helpful in every interaction. My one minor complaint is that all the pillows were very thick and firm. Often when a place has 4 pillows on the bed, they vary in thickness and firmness and a sleeper can choose what they like. If I could have had a different pillow, it would have been perfect!"
