"Fresh and clean in public ares and room. Nicely decorated. Lovely steak and ale pie on first night. We booked the cheapest, cosy double and were pleasantly surprised. Good size and very comfy bed. All staff friendly and polite despite being extremely busy."

"I have stayed here many times and have never had a problem. Staff are always super friendly and very welcoming. You get a real welcoming ‘local pub’ feel when you go in. The bar area is really cosy and the food is fantastic-large portions and a good choice on the menu. Sunday roast is great too!! Rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. An excellent place to stay so I would highly recommend. "

"Absolutely loved our weekend at the Dower House! Amazing location surrounded by nature, the building is so beautiful and our room was huge and had every comfort. All the things you don't find in chain hotels are here - four poster bed, comfy sofa, coffee table and chairs sat amongst a wonderful backdrop, dark and quiet at night for a great sleep. And not to forget the amazing and genuine owners, Tim and Rosemarie, and Teresa who served a great breakfast "
