"Fantastic cosy room. Lovely shower , comfy bed. The check in is via phone and a key safe . The room was well stocked and very clean. Main problem is the doors to rooms don’t have quiet closing so when the ignorant other guests go in and out there is constant slamming of doors. We stayed in the room with exposed beams and it was very well thought out . Good for walking holiday due to location."

"Very big hotel in that our room was quite far away from entrance. Weddings /parties all weekend so was busy but not noisy. Spacious bedroom. Clean. Good breakfast. Lovely choice of cocktails but a bit pricey. So was wine but then it's a hotel with not much nearby so was willing to pay. Lots of helpful staff. Dinner was great. Well kept grounds to walk around. Only thing I asked for - hair conditioner was unavailable."

"Couldn’t fault the room I stayed in , however a family member also stayed and she didn’t have a/c in her room and was given a fan , apparently not all the rooms have a/c. On check out , there was only one man on reception and it took 40 mins to check out. My refund still hasn’t gone back onto my card for the £50 holding fee, waiting 2 weeks after. Bar staff were very slow and didn’t seem to know what was going on and also ran out of paper in the machine multiple times which caused further delays."

"Stayed 2 nights for a wedding. Overall good stay apart from mattress too soft, room was very hot and a fan had been provided which was no way near adequate. Complimentary bottled water in room would have been nice. Good buffet breakfast, everything you needed. Have an electric car. Website doesn’t say anywhere to bring your own charging cable to charge car. Have never had this issue before."
