Hampton Inn & Suites By Hilton Calgary- University Northwest
8/10 Good
"We stayed one night. The staff were friendly and beds were really supportive and comfy. We found the linen and towels very clean. The room was tired but still ok. We didn’t try the complementary breakfast. Parking was excellent and the location close to amenities. The building is under renovation but still great for a stopover."
"I was truly impressed with this lower priced hotel in downtown Calgary. I'm usually fairly picky about hotels but we were traveling with a larger group.
Check in was a breeze, the room was spacious and very clean. Decor a little worn but honestly, who cares? The important things were well done: the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and bright. It included a hearty and delicious breakfast. It's only a five minute walk from a really nice stretch of shops and restaurants. I'd return!"
"We had booked a Standard King room. When we arrived they put us in a King Handicap room. Was not very nice. Called front desk to be moved, only Queen Standards available for and "up charge". Not happy about an "up charge" but moved to queen standard room. After a couple calls with front desk, the supervisor dismissed the "up charge" on the room. The Casino was okay, but, too smoky, so couldn't spend too much time in there. The Little Chief restaurant was very good and staff very friendly.

"The room we booked had tears on the couch, hair on the sheets in the bed, filthy and not ready for occupancy. The staff was helpful in making another room work but than cable in the building we were moved to was out and we were not informed about it. The list goes on and the only redeeming part of the trip was how the staff tried their best to make it work"
"Good breakfast, good parking, amenities could be nicer just by staying on top of the little things that make a big difference to guests. Tennis table paddles and ball was broken and couldnt be used and also thr chairs are missing cushions so you cant really sit on them."
"Fab hotel for a fab price. Fits the bill for a purpose-built weekend. We were there for a dance comp, so the amenities (pool, restaurant, parking, location) were perfect. It's a little dated, but that's okay! And they do a fabulous job to quiet it down right at 9 p.m. Felt like (in the best way!) a kids club with so many teams and groups there too, but was nice and quiet for a good sleep when it mattered. Staff are fab too!"
