"Coffee lukewarm, eggs cold, younger staff nice, older staff unpleasant and seems as though you’re bothering them if you have questions and that includes the owner Jay and Liz! There is no business center to print your boarding pass. "
"The room is very nice and spacious, but the TV was not watchable (very bad streaming, on every channel) and at noon time there was no hot water to shower, you would have to wait until later in the afternoon. As to the property, the convenience store/coffee shop was closed for renovation the entire time we were there, and the only open restaurant post-breakfast had no creamer for the coffee. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was because it was supposed to have these amenities, we did not rent a car and since we were staying up late each night to go for Aurora excursions we missed breakfast and wanted coffee at later time. I had to DoorDash coffee every day and even a few other items that the convenience store would have had. Otherwise, nice and clean room and property in general, I would stay again if these other things were to work. "
"Stayed in a large multi-bed room, as it is a hostel. The bunk beds were very creaky. Bathroom upstairs was pretty cramped and didn't seem to get cleaned the multiple days I was there. Pillows are flat, sheets and quilt were clean and comfy. Entry room has zero heating and door handle/lock was frozen, which is rough since you are asked to remove your shoes before entering. Great coffee shop walking distance, but not much else.
Coffee is in the frozen room, consistently smelled burnt so I did not partake. When staff did come to "clean", she did it in her pajamas and just changed out trash, nothing else. She also did it early in the morning when everyone in the room was trying to sleep. Downstairs has a much larger bathroom. Kitchen and dining area are sufficient. Chairs in "living room" were very sunken in and uncomfortable. There is a tv, but one guest kept it on conservative news shows me entire stay and hid and slept with the remote. Lastly, I had some canned drinks by my bed and one or two of them were stolen. Another guest had some of her food stolen out of the shared fridge.
Not sure if all this is par for the course for American hostels, but I was not impressed. Would definitely not stay here again."
"I was asked to make a security deposit once I arrived. $150 dollar expense I wasn’t expecting. The bed frame was broken and the HVAC shook when it came on making a lot of noise. I don’t know if it’s normal or not but there also was not a mattress protector on the bed just a really thin see through fitted sheet. Other than that the breakfast was really good, the shower was hot with wonderful pressure. The shuttle was quick and nice people. Probably won’t book them again though. "
"Tv remotes didn’t work and all attempts to fix by staff were futile. They offered to switch rooms but then discovered all open rooms had the same remote issue. So if you wanted to watch tv, you better hope you liked the one show you had to choose from. Their handicap access was also laughable and probably non compliant with the ADA. If it is winter and you have a wheelchair I would keep looking. The staff was lovely and everything was clean. "
"Was charged for extra guests prior to reservation. At check in, front desk charged again. I now have to co race customer service to address the issue. Property was fine. "
