"The ambiance of the property was fabulous. It is an old building and was charming. The main bed was comfortable BUT the futon's were actually chairs that folded out and they were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. There was no staff available. It was all contactless. The bar was the same no people. If you didn't have cell phone to use the QR code you could not get a drink. The breakfast if you didn't pay for it in advance was not available as expected. I found the place charming but unwelcoming. However...

"Loved staying in such a beautiful historical building. Very nice and quiet. We had breakfast included. The food was great with healthy options and plenty of coffee choices. We also enjoyed the dinners in the restaurant…which was nice after a day of sight seeing. Staff were so pleasant and helpful and went out of their way to answer questions and make sure we were comfortable. We were in Scotland for 10 days and stayed at two other hotels. This was our favorite!"

It’s a grand old place with a lot of history and close to a small village with a couple of restaurants which you should also reserve at. coaches full of seniors come here, so there’s a vibrant scene at the hotel bar"

"We stayed in the coach house room 2 and the only thing I would mention was that the four small lights on the ceiling flickered when they were on for a while. They were the ones which really lit up the room so I didn't like to turn them off. The centre light and bedside lights were a bit dim for reading, I found. Other than that there were no complaints at all."
