"We decided to eat at other restaurants but for breakfast and for our other needs the property was fine and the staff very helpful. We enjoyed our stay."

"The hotel was close to a bus stop which for me was great as I don't drive. It was about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Lerwick and it involved walking up a few hills but it was possible to get a bus from the hotel.
The hotel its self was clean and comfortable. I ate at the hotel every evening of my stay as there was no nearby restaurants. The food was very nice but very expensive
I would recommend getting a bus to and from the airport as its so much cheaper than the taxis, which were expensive and you can catch a bus from down the road
I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a short stay on the island "
"Great location, very clean, breakfast was freshly cooked each day.
Friendly hosts who communicated very well before and during stay.
Recommend this accommodation."
"We loved our brief stay at the Queen’s. My husband had been taken ill on arrival in Lerwick and we had to change our plans to let him rest up. We booked last minute and were surprised to be able to still choose a twin room with sea view. The sea literally lapped outside our window and the view was stunning.
The hotel has a fascinating history and is built actually into the sea so those who complained of damp should have gone some where else.
The shower was great with loads of instant hot water and the bathroom and linen were beautifully clean. The staff were really helpful. The night porter rummaged around and found me a bottle opener and there was cutlery in the room for our delicious fish and chips from the Fort café, given that the hotel’s restaurant is being refurbished.
We would definitely recommend the Queen’s and wish the new owners success in their quest to restore it to its former glory. "
"We were in Shetland for the fiddle week and this location was central. Nice host, great breakfast spread and beautiful afternoon sunshine in the windows of room 5.

"The staff were excellent even through a period when the local wireless network went down. the staff took this in their stride, Gwen the owner was excellent, Cally was doing a great job similarly to chris and all the staff went out of their way to provide an excellent service"
