The room was clean, the bed was comfy and well maintained for a motel. The front desk cafe area was narrow but cute decor styling. Wouldn’t recommend the breakfast situation if you’re looking for variety. Better suited for adults or people

Staff was great, very helpful the cafe was nice easy to get breakfast before starting your day. Pool and firepit area were cool kids enjoyed making s'mores. Rooms are basic but exactly what we needed a comfy bed after a long day at amusement parks. The train that seemed to come by every night at 1 am was loud but nothing the hotel can do about that.

My five-day stay was fantastic. The only issue I faced was my key card getting deactivated repeatedly. Occasionally, my room would get a random sewer smell, but other than that, everything was perfect. The location is convenient, and I’ll definitely be back, not too far from anything.

Stayed at The Rambler Hotel for a quick overnight trip and had a great experience. The hotel was easy to find, conveniently located right off the freeway, and offered hassle-free parking. Check-in was quick and seamless, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and informative. The hotel itself has a charming, unique atmosphere that makes it memorable. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a TV and complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I especially appreciated the excellent shower water pressure! Overall, a wonderful experience for a short stay in San Diego. I would definitely consider staying here again whenever I’m in the area.

I stayed here for a work conference that was held at the Gaylor, this was very accessible and in a nice location. I really enjoyed the Rambler Cafe that is connected to the front desk. Great food and coffee drinks. The rooms are nicely decorated and everything felt and looked clean!

Love the aesthetic of this place, very Instagram worthy. Our room was clean, and the staff was friendly. My little one enjoyed the pool and all the games. Things that could use improvement: lighting in the bathroom was really dim. There is no coffee maker or microwave in the room.

Really happy with my experience! Everything was easy, from checkin, helpful staff, and small touches like electronic checkout and text concierge. My room didn’t have a fridge, I guess you have to request one or book a room with one. Something to keep in mind. Comfy bed, great shower pressure, clean hardwood floors. Thanks!

The room was really clean, the staff was really friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was great. Super cool that there's a little coffee shop with arcade games and pinball too. Only thing is there was no fridge in the room, but everything else was great.

Unfortunately we got to the free breakfast around 8am and it had been pretty picked through and decided to just order breakfast and my breakfast sandwich was cold and the avocado toast was underwhelming for the price.

Great, affordable option! We stayed with two small kids and they enjoyed the pool. The coffee shop has great iced coffee and friendly staff. Room was clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable! My husband and I both woke up and commented on how comfy they were. We’d stay here again! Only negative was that our keys kept not working and it took two trips down to the front desk until someone told us that holding them to your phone (which we were doing every time) deactivates the key. After that it was all good and overall a good, cute motel with friendly staff.

Fun, Clean & Great Value! My husband and I stayed at The Rambler during SDSU Parents Weekend and really enjoyed our stay! The hotel is clean, comfortable, and full of fun California-themed touches. Our room was spacious and spotless, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We loved the free parking, complimentary coffee and simple breakfast bar, and the pool looked great (although we didn't have time to use it!). There are also made-to-order food and specialty drinks available for purchase. Overall, The Rambler offers great value, a fun atmosphere, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again!
