"Fabulous place to stay. The best I have stayed in for a long time. Super friendly knowledgeable staff lovely warm and comfortable rooms. Great beers on hand pull and a very tasty steak and stout pie. "
"Lady on reception was lovely and friendly. Such an interesting old building, obviously not immaculate as it is not modern, but full of character and so comfortable. Easy walking distance to town and the cathedral but still nice and quiet area. "
"Cute cottage, not for anyone mobility challenged. Very hot bedroom, didn't sleep much because of that (need lighter weight duvets), shame as otherwise lovely room & very quiet. Lovely to eat supper overlooking the field of sheep and lambs. Food was average. Pub chairs could be more comfy. Breakfast rather small (a full english was one mushroom, 1 small sausage, 1/2 tomato, scrambled egg & 2 very crispy bits of bacon. Had to request toast. Cold option was lovely but limited, juice, granola, yogurt & compote. Nice walks to be had from the door (we enjoyed the river walk through fields to a church, starting virtually opposite the pub). "
