When I booked my stay I had seen an issue with the TV but I thought a month later, it would have been fixed! Nope! The tv seldom worked with all sorts of excuses. The TV's in common areas ALWAYS WORKING! No room deliveries available. It took over 1 & 1/2 hours to get toilet paper sent to my room. Carpet was gross, room small, great view except trump hotel across the river! No keurig coffeemakers, dinky nespresso machines. There was free coffee of all sorts available on the 2nd floor. Staff was very friendly.

This was a stopover during a cross country rail tour. Great area, convenient to Union Station and stored my bags until time to leave for the depot.

Self-parking is blocks away and the route is lined wt homeless or unsavory people. It is not a casual city stroll but rather an on-guard adventure. The hotel cannot police or manage the recent changes in downtown Chicago's demographics but there were other parking garages wtin closer proximity. It makes me wonder if those were even more unsafe or if CQ promoted that particular garage for $ over safety. Either way, opt for the neighboring hotel's valet. It's not worth the risk ($30 vs 53). Better and safer places are available at similar price points. The hotel itself is on the lower average scale. Bottled water dispensers and a couple of Peletron bikes do not make up for small and antiquated rooms. Enjoy your vaca or business trip somewhere else. Chicago is expensive enough as it is. A few more dollars equals a LOT more amenities.

PROS: - Walking distance to every Chicago “tourist” spot. - Ronnie and the rest of the hotel staff were incredibly kind. - Refillable water stations. CONS: - Ants in the room (but front desk immediately helped us switch rooms) - Some of the rooms have odd showers, with nothing on the floor to separate the shower floor with the rest of the bathroom. So when you turn on the water the whole thing is soaked. - Overall a little dated but got the job done.

Absolute horrible for customer care. I left an expensive electric toothbrush in my room. I know, no responsibility for lost items. However, I travel frequently and it is pretty common to get things back if you realize it quickly I called the desk an hour after leaving, and the wouldn’t lift A FINGER. Wouldn’t call housekeeping, wouldn’t send someone to the room, wouldn’t take my name and number for a call back. They said I could go to a website, ILEFTMYSTUFF, and register the list item. I did and got no success. BOTTOM LINE WHOEVER CLEANED THE ROOM STOLE OR DISCARDED MY PROPERTY. And Club Quarters does not care
