Close to several temples, walking distance to many restaurants, close to the Sunday night market. For me the only negative was how little sun the pool received (about 2-3 hours from about 1:30 to 3:30) each day. I stay in Chiang Mai long term so want to relax after a morning of exploring, an afternoon by the pool then find a good restaurant for dinner and further walking about.

Small rooms and poor wifi
I appreciate the efforts of the extra efforts of the check-in personnel to get me into a room early after my train dropped me in Chiang Mai at 4 am. They were fully booked but made a room available to me before 10 am. I booked for 3 nights but changed hotels after the second night. I couldn't deal with the slow wifi. It took 2 hours to book my next hotel in Bangkok. Also there was no chair of any type in the room i selected and no room for one if i had asked for it. The bathroom was adequate, the restaurant, adequate, the location, adequate.

What a gem of a property! The moment I arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. Everyone was willing to help and the service here was incredible. The property is clean and cozy. You would never know you were in the middle of a city. The room was awesome, spotless, and the bed was too comfortable to want to wake up in the morning. I spent four nights here and wish I could have changed my flights to stay longer. I would highly recommend 99 The Galley and if I'm ever back on Chiang Mai, I would stay here again.

Amazing staff
Staff there were amazing, so helpful and went the extra mile to drop off my sons tablet and toy to the airport after we checked out as we had accidentally left it in the room. The room was ok, it did the job and had AC (the bathroom didn’t). For us, it would have been better to not be the first bedroom door off the street but it felt safe so was ok. Overall it did the job, it was a little tired and was safe and cheap whilst we went and saw the elephants and was safe enough to leave our baggage there overnight in the room whilst we went away for the night.

My two week stay at this hotel was an absolute pleasure. The hotel was always neat and clean. I ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant every day and the service was excellent. All questions asked of the front desk was answered quickly. If I were to ever visit Chiang Mai again, I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is super clean, location is nearby the weekend night market just some steps, they have laundry service and seft laundry by washing machine with a good price. Staffs are very nice. The minus point is the aircon in my bedroom is leaking at night so we can't use it and they fixed it the next day. And water in toilet and bathroom is stopped at the evening and they fixed them in the next morning. Towers are clean but old, the hotel should change them.

The Galleries, Chiang Mai.
The hotel staff were very lovely and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and the whole building had a 'colonial' feel.. the sort of look you would expect to see in an old movie. We loved it!! It was right in Old Town and so most things were in good walking distance. If I ever visit Chiang Mai again I will definitely stay here.

This is a peaceful and quiet hotel with beautiful and tasteful decor throughout. The staff were professional and friendly. The guest laundry was easy to access. We welcomed the pool and cafe during a very hot week in Chiang Mai in May 2023. I would happily reurn and highly recommend.

My first time in Chiang Mai and won't be my last. Will be returning to this hotel when I do. Impossibly friendly staff, good sized room with all the expected amenities, and in central location. The price I secured was also a fantastic value. Within the expectations for the $35-$50 price range, I can't think of any negatives to report. Highly recommended
Highly recommended! Comfortable bed, super clean, beautiful property and the location is amazing, close to the main attractions in the old city. I had a small accident with a scooter and they were extremely kind and helpful with me. I ended up extending my stay. I was very lucky to be staying at the hotel while I had the accident since it was the perfect "healing place" to be (and it's perfect for a normal vacation as well 😊). I am sure you will enjoy it! Very nice people and very nice hotel. Thank you very much!

Ups and downs, not quite as pictured.
Nice staff, comfy bed, great lobby, but room has cheap laminate floors compared to the lovely teak of the lobby and my room had no lovely bath as pictured online. Shower was OUTSIDE the room on the balcony. Bathroom has awful stench from floor drain, a classic sign of bad plumbing (no trap). Location was fairly desolate, especially at night. I wouldn't describe this as a lively area of town. Glad I only booked 2 nights, then moved elsewhere.

Staff exceptional - Beer, Imm and others were so helpful as I had to cancel hotels and flights to Phuket due to flooding and so many staff members helped me but don’t remember all their names. We stayed extra at this hotel because of the wonderful And friendly staff. And we walked every where in the city and when we took a tuk Tuk it was very cheap To travel. Thank you to your entire team for a wonderful stay! We will recommend you to our friends and hope to return to this hotel In the future

It’s a nice hotel, but I was quiet scared of ghost because of the lack of people. Still enjoy my there though 😆
