Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're prepared. Follow these handy hints that will help get your Torgon holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you've got all the right stuff. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare pair of socks and a good novel. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Choose a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your legs and feet moving.
