Found a great place in Charleston's urban center for dinner. Drove around the citiy center and was pleased with the fine and interesting mix of business, offices, resturaunts and homes and public spaces; especially along the Kanawah River.

It's a small city but we enjoy seeing all of the US and parking. Downtown is quiet and as with most cities there are some homeless people down town. Coonskin Park is only a lile from the Inn. We enjoyed a long walk and beautiful Fall color there.

People are quite friendly in Charleston as well as the rest of the state. Charleston has some good local places to eat, and generally light traffic which makes it easy to get around.

My husband had a procedure at CAMC and the location of the motel with the hospital and all the fine stores and restaurants were within just a few miles. Highly recommend the Charleston area and Holiday In Express - Civic Center area.

We were just passing through and stopped to sleep but I love the lights of Charleston at night. Beautiful scene.
