Gorgeous hotel on the waterfront - the most impressive in Saint Jean de Luz, with a nice (simple) spa. The staff are the highlight - effortlessly efficient & totally capable - from the (handsome) door men to the amazing receptionist, capable maids & talented masseuse. What a magical find. Love the hotel and its proximity to the beach and the restaurants. Staff were very polite and helpful. Don’t usually go for hotel breakfast but this was the exception. Had a small double room away from sea which I now wish I’d paid the extra for. SJDL is a beautiful place and this hotel is the right place to enjoy it from.

The decor is wonderfully relaxing – clean, practical and full of lovely touches. There are plenty of amenities and the staff are really welcoming. It’s in a brilliant spot right by the Plage Vieux in Biarritz.

To stay at this hotel is to experience gracious living and elegance at its very best. Loved our stay - staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The hotel is in a great location very close to the lighthouse. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast delicious, and the pool was good fun. Thank you to all the staff!

A return visit to Biarritz to take in some sea air! The hotel was situated right above the beach, but also two minutes from the main shopping street. We had paid extra for a balcony, but unfortunately it was rather too windy during our visit for us to take much advantage of it! Enjoyed a meal in the hotel's restaurant on our second night and a nightcap in the hotel bar.

The hotel is very new and clean sand the facilities are excellent. The breakfast has sufficient variety to cater for all tastes and the location very scenic and peaceful.

Excellent hotel, friendly welcome from the reception staff. Absolutely spotless throughout. Puts some of the bigger chains to shame. Will definitely stay again.

Very well located for main town and a truly charming hotel

This is such a lovely small hotel, situated in a great location set just back on one of the busy streets in Biarritz. It is right next to all the shops, bars & restaurants and the beach is just a short walk away. The daily market situated just across the road is full of really fresh produce and you can also sit for a coffee and a snack or a glass of wine if you prefer. Even though it is so close to everything it is not noisy.

The hotel in lovely and obviously caters for the ‘Up Market’ clientele that they get given the proximity to the fashionable town of Biarritz, however Breakfast was not included and cost 26€ each!!!!! Far too much for a continental breakfast with additional hot items extra! Also be aware you are right next to an airport and will get occasional jet noise (not that busy though.

Fantastic hotel in a lovely quiet area,near to beach,town,restaurants etc.The hosts were out of this world,very friendly,helpful all you could ask for.Great breakfast choice,free towels to borrow for the beach.Go for yourselves to find out.

What a unique destination and fabulous hotel and spa! The service we received from all the staff was professional, helpful and friendly! The room far exceeded our expectation and the attention. To detail and delicious food were “next level”. Honestly, this was our favourite part of our journey!

A great hotel 1 minute away from the hustle & bustle. Balcony room was large & immaculate & staff were friendly & helpful. If you are driving be warned - parking is a nightmare. If you find a space leave the car there until you are ready to leave ! 24 hour parking is available 5 minutes away at a cost.
