"Oversized room with a jacuzzi, however, the system leaked and water seeped into adjacent room. No 24 hour staff, so, you need to be in communication. We left before staff arrived and left the key on the hook with other keys so no security beyond the cameras. The location was ideal as was the price."

The room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made our stay even more pleasant. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. The location is also a big advantage — it’s very easy to reach the main tourist attractions in a short time. "Bed was hard as a rock. Toilet made a dripping sound all night. It was very clean but there were unsightly stains in the bathroom. Breakfast was fresh."

"Il Principe is one of the best located hotels in Catania, close to all the main sights and easy walking distance to Square, Monastery, Fish Market etc. The Staff were exceptionally helpful . The reception area's, and Breakfast room had plenty of space and nicely decorated with marble. 2 person lift to all floors. The hotel had somewhere for the luggage on our last day. There was alway someone on reception. The area was quiet and felt safe. Breakfast had a good variety, hot scrambled eggs or boiled, bacon, mushrooms. Cold ham and cheese, yogurts, cereals, croissants. Fruit juice and coffee. The room was a good size and double aspect. Our room had a shower, which was adequate but could have done with updating. Bed was large but a little firmer than we are used to. Towels, hairdryer etc provided. Air conditioning was excellent. Unfortunately there was no kettle or coffee maker in the room, although there was a fridge and safe. I don't think we could have got a hotel that was in a better spot, ideal to pop back to in the day for a rest."
