A good starting point for a visit is the Magellan Cross with the adjacent Oratory worth a look. The Museum is close by and worth seeing as well as the San Pedro fort which is quite historical. We took a tour by car for 3500 pesos

Liked metered white taxis, very reasonably priced. Can easily visit multiple tourist sites e.g. fort, museum, cathedral in a morning. Do independently as acess is either free or minimal whereas booked tours extremely expensive compared to elsewhere .

It's a typical big Asian city with an underdeveloped transportation system. There are no freeways or rail system. As usual, the downtown area is much more developed than the outlying areas in which the poverty is much more pronounced.

The construction at Fuente Osmenia took forever to finish. It is getting to be highly urbanized and I hope that road constructions should be given highest priority to ease traveling around the city!

I still like Cebu City however the infrastructure ( roads, utilities and trash disposal) is severely lacking especially in light of all the new construction projects

Cebu as a hole is an awesome place great community, great events, great venues, highly highly recommend.
"Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very nice. Breakfast at Cafe was good with, again, friendly and helpful staff. Location was good and liked being part of Robinsons Mall. Will choose this hotel again if I return to Cebu."
"Superior customer service. This Holiday Inn is much better than the ones in the US. Highly recommend. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. I've stayed there for almost 50 nights. "
"Not a new hotel but our room is quite adequate, housekeeping responsive (thank you for extra water bottles), and reception allowed late checkout to 1 pm (much appreciated). Ask for high floors if you are a light sleeper. Conveniently located adjacent to Ayala Centre Cebu via the underground car park. Oh, and enjoyed the saxophonist playing at the lobby on a Monday night."
"We live in Cebu City Philippines. I'm an American and, as you might expect, my standards are routinely not met by local Philippine establishments. In this case, however, I will say that the Waterfront hotel was on the highest western standard. From service to facilities to food, everything was the highest quality. The room was clean. Every common area was also spotless, which is one of those things you may not notice top of mind, but it affects your perception. Every corner of every small spot had clearly been cleaned that day. I also notice the staff was wearing clothing that was obviously cleaned that previous night or morning. This is not always the way in the Philippines, but Waterfront is an exception in a Third World country. So, if you're an expat or a person visiting from the west, THIS is your go to hotel in Cebu City. I even got a deal on Hotels.com. I should also mention that I've lived in the Philippines in a pretty upscale condo building in IT Park just 5 minutes from the hotel. My condo building had a 36 hour power outage for "maintenance", so my wife, 2 year old son and myself went to the Waterfront hotel. Other than refusing to let my 2 year old into the casino (which was more a joke than anything), it was a perfect stay. Thank you!"
"We love this place. Staffs are amazing. Special shout out to Miguel,Laiqa, zeve, Emerson, Junrey at the F&B, Glenies at the FD, Steven at the Housekeeping, too much to mention. All of them are amzing. Excellent hotel. We will be back..."
"I loved how close this was to everywhere I needed to be, and that it's one of the few places with a pool within the city. Walkable to the Basilica and Market,
Walkable to the most shuttles and jeeps that go to Fuente osmeña and the port
My only thing is to ask for a squeegee because of the design of some of their showers. Mine wasn't draining which was a concern"
