Centrally located about ten minutes' walk from the Historic Centre, this charming hotel is appealing in its design, the rooms are well-sized, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is pretty good. Minuses are that there's no lift and the staff's grasp of English isn't brilliant. However, for the price it's hard to beat.

It is a small and very comfortable hotel with a nice breakfast and staff. Most of the staff speaks only Spanish. The vicinicity is safe and good for drinking, eating out and enjoying nightlife, but right next to the hotel is a club where sounds are sometimes noisy till 2 am.

Great stay

I had a wonderful stay. As a solo traveler the staff made sure all needs and services were met and they were very friendly. The food was amazing too. Had a nice view from the lounging areas in the place. I liked that the location was very local to common areas and felt safe as well. Only downside there were a lot of bugs (bug spray solved the problem) that came from the bathroom window and I didn’t have hot water in the shower for the first 2 days

Charming, small scale hotel in a historical style, waterfront, within walking distance of the historic town and Getsemani. Nice terraces (3), including one with a jacuzzi. Excellent, welcoming and capable staff. Well appointed rooms, very clean. Great breakfast on a communal table, to share with other travelers. I was made to feel at home during my stay (June 18-25) and as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and well taken care off. The only down sides are the club next door and the amount of traffic (especially the party buses and party boats in the evening), but a pair of ear plugs takes care of that.

I only stayed one night but it’s enough for me to come back. Everyone is very attentive, big attention on details. Its hands down the best ‘homey’ breakfast of any of the 7 hotels I’ve stayed in Cartagena.

Best location in Getsemani

The breakfast here is amazing! And the customer service was wonderful throughout the entire trip. Please note, the hotel shares a wall with a popular nightclub and is on the main route for the party buses. It was a little loud but nothing we couldn't sleep through. Also nothing, this has the perfect location in the city - less than 10 min walk to the walled city and where the tours depart. It is directly across the street from the water. We only used a taxi once (aside from airport transfer) which was to get to Bocagrande. Otherwise, you simply cannot ask for a better location!!!

Excelente experiencia

El hotel está muy bien, la ubicación es inmejorable, en el barrio histórico de Getsemaní, se puede recorrer todo el centro histórico a pié, muchos restaurantes en la zona. Las terrazas del hotel son recomendables, el desayuno abundante. Las escaleras del hotel están muy empinadas y pudieran no ser aptas para personas muy mayores
