The owner was extremely attentive, even got some decaf coffee for our room. We were able to book into our room early which was very convenient. The room was very clean and even little touches like cotton buds and cotton wool in the bathroom didn’t go unnoticed. Ideally situated near to M6 motorway junction 42 and 43. Lovely country location. Clean and comfortable rooms (fan provided) good food and friendly staff. Beautiful mature gardens. Plenty of free on site parking,free Wi-Fi. Food and accommodation reasonably priced.

Everything in Shaftoes have been done to a very high standard. Dave could not have done more to make our stay better. Recommends eating places, booked a table and sorted out a menu for us that suited our taste. Verry good knowledge of local places to visit.

I stayed in the annex luxury apartments which are fantastic. Amazing comfortable king size bed. Luxury bathroom and living area - like a suite set up. Two large TVs and kitchen - the sort of place you would buy.

A true gem in the heart of Keswick! The property felt like home from home, but with the luxury and convenience you would expect from a holiday rental. There is free onsite parking, check-in is easy (the hosts actually contacted us on the day to say we could check-in earlier if we wanted to), and communication with the host was quick and helpful. Room was clean and tidy on arrival Staff went above and beyond very helpful nothing was to much Breakfast was amazing lots of choice whatever your taste and all the food that came out looked good liked the fact juice and pasties where available as well as tea/ coffee and toast. Stayed for one night with my boyfriend, to get a break from it all and this was definitely the right place. Nothing was too much trouble, facilities great, bar food gorgeous, lovely atmosphere and tidy rooms. We actually had a bit of a hiccup from expedia as they sold a family room with 2 double beds that the hotel didnt have. The hotel was really nice built in the 17 hundreds nice n clean staff exceptionally helpful and very friendly we required a disabled room there was stairs into hotel which I could manage then once in everything on the level room was lovely with lots of space and had a wetroom with rails to hold onto and the choice of 2 different shower heads to use the meals were really good would highly recommend it

My wife and I stayed for just one night in a room with a mountain view. The room was decorated in a traditional country house fashion and was very clean and comfortable. We were welcomed upon our arrival by the owner who was attentive throughout our stay, as was all the staff. All in all it was a very nice stay food was excellent room was very good only thing that took the edge of the whole experience was we were told breakfast finished at ten we got down at 9-32 and a snoty waitress said breakfast finished at 9-30 I pointed out it’s only two minutes past surely you can squeeze us in no chance spoilt the whole experience

Lovely stay, food was fantastic. Both evening meal and breakfast was devine. Room was beautiful and immaculate. Great castle with lots of history, we did the castle tour that they do every morning which we thought was a lovely touch.

Fabulous 4 day stay here . Lovely location , rooms very clean and comfortable. Ate all our meals here and every one was excellent. Breakfasts were great , plenty of choice . All the staff were so friendly and helpful . Special thanks to Marcelle and Jackie who couldn’t have done more ! We will definitely return
