City centre visit
Hotel very central. Walking distance to city centre, castle, museum and the bay. Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Ensuite was a good size. Hotel bar and eating area were clean and bright.

Great stay
Clean rooms, clean hotel, all was great! We stayed for my birthday to do some shopping amd have a meal in the evening. we was offerd breakfast on check in which we paid for and told breakfast was untill 12 which was perfect as we had to have a zoom call in the morning was told check out was at 10 so paid for late check out also, however upon arriving for breakfast at 10.10 we was told brrakfast finished at 10 and that check out was at 12 so we paid paid for it all for no reason. But other than that we was very pleased and would definitely stay again.

cheap, cheerful and above average
This hotel was cheap, cheerful and above average for a budget hotel. The reception was modern, the rooms were a bit sparse, the bed was fine, the place was clean. The bar was ok with a small selection of drinks and the food looked ok. We would stay here again. A bonus was it was in walking distance to all the major attractions of Cardiff downtown area.

Dirty, smelly and noisy. Blood on the bathroom door. Sheets looked unchanged. Walked out and left after 20 minutes. Good enough for students and drunk people, I guess.

Standard Ibis
Check in efficient, staff friendly! Room - you know exactly what you’re getting at an ibis - standard and clean! Breakfast was dire though!

Parking is expensive so look up before arrival to find cheaper options ncp wanted £51 I found a space 5 minute walk £12.50 by using your parking space app.Room was ok.bulbs missing from lights in our room and bathroom needed a decent clean overall happy with stay for cheap price paid.

Cheap and not very clean!
Check in staff were all lovely and friendly, but room had dust and hair in shower and plug socket was hanging off and duvet was really thin and not suitable for winter and bed was uncomfortable and falling apart!

pleasant stay , close to theatre and shops and short walk to the train station, liked the late check out , room very clean, I was so comfy and had a fab nights sleep I never made it for breakfast .

Don’t stay here
The hotel was probably the most unfriendly hotel I’ve ever stayed in , the reception team look at you like something f the cat has dragged in when you approach. There’s absolutely zero friendly welcome . The hotel room we were given was not cleaned as there was a used sandwich box on the floor and the bathroom smelt of wee. The room is tatty , tired , old and dingy. We usually stay at the premier inn and we would definitely not choose this hotel again , the only good thing about it is the location.

Great location. Room very basic. Only 1 spare pillow. Lobby area clean and tidy however booth cushions could do with recovering as very worn. Lights could of been put on in evening in front courtyard area.

To begin with the traffic around Cardiff is an absolute nightmare which made trying to find car parking impossible. We found our way to the rear of the hotel where there is short stay parking on the road so I walked back to the hotel to ask about alternative parking and was met with indifference. There is a justpark at the rear of the hotel but it has to be pre-booked which is my recommendation as it's only£14 a day compared to the £26 I had to pay for NCP parking. Our room was small but adequate for a one night stay although the bathroom didn't seem to have been cleaned properly and stank of sewage ( sink u bend full of gunk maybe). It's in a great location but that is about all it has going for it.

Good place to crash after an event.
It’s a decent place for somewhere to crash after concerts etc, but it’s not a place you’d go for a weekend away. Rooms are quite small with a fairly small cubicle for the bathroom. But it was all clean, and the breakfast was good quality. Disappointing they more than doubled the price in the night there happened to be a Wales rugby game playing, especially when we weren’t in town for that.

As said on the Expedia Page there was no parking on site at the hotel for 16 pound. There is an off site parking which is 12 minutes away which is 24 pound for 19 hour stay

The hotel is run down and needs to be renovated. Parking is annoying the hotel has no parking itself, there is a car park over the road but the is £25 for 24 hours! There's another CP in the next street that is only £14 but that info is not on the hotel website! They also offer breakfast but it's a special secret! There are no signs in the reception, the room or was it mentioned by check in staff!

I needed sleep so not the hotel for me
Very basic hotel for the price. The team knew I was there on business but located me near to other residents there for a night out. This would have been fine if the hotel had decent sound proofing. Instead I was woken up at midnight and then 3.30am. I had to cal reception to ask for them to deal with the noise. While it stopped it restarted 30 minutes later. Terrible sleep and upon departure I was not asked about my stay or given any form of apology. I won’t be using this hotel or the chain again. Other nicer hotels in the area for the same price.

Nice clean compact room. Toiletries provided, heating/Air Conditioning unit. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. The hotel is just across the road from a car park and the Motorpoint Arena. Staying there again in November.
