Chapter Chianti, a Member of Design Hotels

8/10 Good
"The property is beautiful and newly renovated. Surrounded by olive trees and tuscan hills. The stay was very pleasant and the staff is very friendly. However, the management needs to improve two things. Firstly, the hotel is extremely understaffed. This means you wait for everything (e.g. I waited for a pool towel for 40 min). Even though the staff is very engaged they simply donโ€™t have the manpower to attend to all guests. Secondly, the agressive in-hotel pricing policy makes for an unpleasant element. The hotel asks to be paid 20 eur for an avocado toast for breakfast, which is unacceptable. An espresso costs 5 eur or a bottle of water by the pool costs 7 eur. Comparing these prices to hotels/restaurants etc. in Tuscany makes you wonder why is this hotel so expensive."

Palagina la Dimora

10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful to stay in the main house. The breakfasts were great to start the day - really enjoyed sitting around the pool, nice and peaceful with amazing view. Rooms were comfortable. Easy to get out and try local restaurants and visit other places. Only think for us is it could do with a gym - if you're onsite all day, this would have just made the place perfect."

Relais Villa Baldelli

Relais Villa Baldelli

8/10 Good
"The property was relaxing and quaint. The pool was nice and the overall Tuscan country vibe and decor was nice. The location was good and the rooms were spacious. It was not walkable to anything but if you have a rental car the location is great because Cortana is a wonderful town. The staff is kind and responsive however I had an issue with the cleaning ladies where they disposed of thing of my mine thinking it was trash. I found it odd that cleaning folks would take it upon themselves to touch my things as all. I asked them to not to clean our room anymore and they did it again the next day due to poor internal communication. It was annoying to deal with that but still I would say the staff tried their best to be helpful. Lastly, I was not a fan of their breakfast. They had the basics that were heavily rooted in sweets and pork both of which I donโ€™t eat. They made fresh plain eggs but some veggies and maybe turkey meat would have been nice. Overall, for the price point this place is good."
