"Three House Hotel deserves more than five stars! Our room was an apartment rather than just a hotel room, and it was perfect. The rooftop pool, deck and bar was great with comfortable seating, a very nice casual yet elegant decor and an incredible view of Funchal and the waterfront. The staff that we interacted with were, to a one, professional, engaging, pleasant, energetic and attentive to our needs. The location, very close to the Old Town area suited us perfectly. "Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. The place was very clean. It was great having access to all of the facilities of the park hotel next door. Location was perfect, closer to the “old town” Funchal than most of the hotels, about a 20 min walk to the center, but great area near a lot. Overall I felt very safe, only thing to note is that there is no one at the front desk between midnight and 7am, but you will need your key card to get into the building...

"I recently stayed three nights at Pier House, and loved it. The location was excellent, just a block from the center and the waterfront. The room was pleasant and spacious. The concierge, Andre, could not have been more friendly or helpful in providing airport transfer, car rental, and advice. He helped me squeeze the most out of my too-short time in Madeira. "It was a lovely room with a balcony overlooking a garden. The floors were lovely wooden ones with high ceilings. Nice little kitchen well equipped and very comfortable beds. "

"Well situated in Funchal. We found it a straightforward walk into the city centre and near to the airport bus stop. Friendly and helpful staff. Small swimming pool on roof which helped cooling off after our levada walks. "

The breakfast buffet excellent lots of choice every day fully stocked the outside pool area very nice indoor pool was ok looking a little sad needs a bit of refresh however my son loved it. Bus stop 2 minutes walk very close to restaurants shop etc I would stay here again as a great base for exploring "
