"This was just a 1 night stay for a youth gymnastic meet. Check in was a challenge. This was due to communication issues between the hotel and Expedia. During my stay I also noticed another guest appearing to have the same issue and she had to cancel and re-book. I also had trouble with my key not working. In general, very nice hotel and staff was nice"

"Staff was very friendly. The room was clean. Breakfast options were minimal compared to other places. The price was reasonable. We would stay here again if going through Birmingham. "

"This was an overnight stop on a trip to the coast. Adequate and safe, breakfast was typical waffles/cereal/sausage and eggs and was located close to restaurants, Walmart, etc. As with most places there aren’t enough staff. Standard Room was clean and very comfortable. A good value. "

"I only ate the complimentary breakfast once while I stayed there. It was a very good breakfast. My room was nice, although my sheets were never changed. I only "allowed" housekeeping in my room once. They left it clean, but did not replace the coffee, so I only had coffee there once. (There was still the decaf coffee left) I would definately stay there again. "

"The location was fine. It's just off the interstate and was minutes away from the venue in downtown Alabama that I was visiting. There are multiple food options near by and a newly constructed ChicfilA is being finished up at the moment. Literally, the workers were working at 2 am this morning and still at it at 10 am when we were checking out. The staff was nice and wvwn sent a check in text moments after check in to ensure all was fine. The TV displayed a welcome message to someone who clearly was not me. She did have to pause and restart or something when she was about to hand me my keys, so I'm thinking she switched my room and that is why. I wonder if the person who received my room had a better room. 🤔 I booked the room because of the hotel's high Google rating but I feel like more care could have been given to cleanliness. It wasn't filthy, but I think they may lean more towards quick spot cleaning rather than thorough attention to what a room needs. Also, when wear and tear occurs, hospitality providers should address to sustain the attractiveness of the facility. There was obvious scuffing, chipping, peeling, crumbs, stains, etc that housekeeping and maintenance are not addressing. This gives me pause in any location because the purpose is comfort away from home. I don't want to spend money a day be in a place where I have to worry about shortcuts taken. "Overall the hotel was nice. I wasn't expecting that, but it was nice. However, i had several issues that were taken care of, but my biggest issue was bugs. To be clear, bed bugs and stink bugs. 1. I went to shower and found there was no soap (bodywash) and pieces of hair that wasn't mines; and the faucet wouldn't stop dripping. I called the front desk and the night attendant brought some up. Then, I saw the first of 5 sink bugs and killed it. Then, when I pulled the sheets back, I found the second sink bug and bed bug laying there. I pulled the sleeper sofa out and found a bed bug there. I took pics, went down stairs, made a complaint and got fresh linens. I was told the morning manager would handle would a full or partial refund. After making the bed and settling in, the 3rd stink bug showed up and was killed. The next morning, while scrolling thru my phone, the 4th stink bug landed on my shoulder. I went downstairs to speak with the manger who told me since I went thru a 3rd party payer, the 3rd party would have to contact the hotel for refund details. When H.com called, the manger downplayed everything saying I must have left my door open and the bugs may have come thru the A/C vents. He offered to credit me $25.00 of my total price, (which did not happen). Later that evening, while watching tv, the 5th stink bug showed up. Needless to say, my stay was not the best. "
