"Best stay away from home for ages. The bed was more comfortable than at home, or in any other hotel/bnb/guesthouse I've stayed in in recent times. So close to city centre, therefore really convenient. I highly recommend this hotel!"

"We never ate at the hotel it was less expensive elsewhere. Can’t complain except towels need to be renewed. Also hand soap would be nice. Room noisy in the morning because of traffic. Staff should greet customers coming in and out of hotel it’s part of your job!"

"I've stayed here many times before for work. The prices have increased, and you now have to pay for parking on arrival. Sadly, the rooms remain tired and the beds aren't terribly comfortable. The staff are nice, but it's the little things that make you feel valued, and with the creeping prices, this hotel is increasingly looking less and less favourable when compared to other properties."

"Very tired rooms. The shower was lukewarm. The breakfast was ok, but it is obvious they use cheap ingredients, eg the sausage, plus the whole full English, which they prepare in the kitchen ( not buffet style) had a very greasy flavour to it. "

"Booked for one night and paid just shy of £200 for a standard double. The pictures of the hotel and room looked good so was happy to pay,. However, the room we got, room 44 was right at the back of the hotel in the 1980/90's extension, the room was small and tired, particularly in the bathroom where the door has no lock and paint had been knocked off, the ventilation fan also didn't work and wasn't fitted properly. The hotel itself is very nice and the staff are friendly. We also ate in the restaurant which was pleasant but we had a 20 minute wait for our drinks. I felt it was expensive for what it was £100 for 2 starters and 2 mains with 2 drinks. For £300 I feel there is better out there. Made my feelings felt on departure and received an apology and assurances my comments will be passed on, won't be returning."

"It’s was a little nosy during the night as the walls maybe a little thin and you can hear everything from the next room. Apart from that it’s a lovely hotel with an outstanding spa facilities. "
